Hair Loss

I have sort of a hair issue. No matter what length it is, I'm always finding little hairs that have fallen off my head and landed on my shirt, coat, couch, baby, etc. I'm the girl that you sit behind and want to groom her because she's looking a bit poodle-ish. When T and I were dating, I used to joke that if I were one of those types of plants (or fungus? the biology class is escaping me at the moment) that sends off spores as a means of reproduction, then I would be sending off all these little "Laur Spores" in the form of my hair and little mini-Laurs would be popping up all over the place.
One of those inexplicable hormone things about pregnancy is that your hair grows thicker and faster while you're pregnant. I'm pretty much a bush-head when pregnant because of this. Then, after the baby is born, the extra hair starts to fall out. Not a bad thing for me, except that it means I have even more hair than normal all over the place.
Sometimes that gets gross. I lose a lot of hair-- in the car, in the shower, everywhere. No where is it as bad as in my bathroom. I have a thin coat of hair on my bathroom floors and counters. I have a giant hairball to throw away after every shower. And, worst of all, I lose a lot down my sink. You know what that means. Hair + drain= clogged yucky mess.
Today I tackled the problem. It takes all my courage to do this because it is the grossest thing ever. Honestly, the reason I did it today was because my bathroom was starting to smell because of the accumulation in the drain. With battle gear on, I cleaned out my drain (even undoing the little J peice under the sink!) and conquered the guck. It was no match for me!
In this case, a picture is not even worth a thousand words because you can't see how much more of it there was, or smell how putrid it smelled. So gross!
What is the grossest thing you have ever cleaned?

Fancy Dinner

Last night T made dinner and Eve was napping, so I had Anna and Kate to myself. The rain has been driving us nuts inside (will it ever stop?), and I decided that we needed to do something fun. We painted fingernails, curled hair, dressed up in makeup and mommy's jewelry, and wore beautiful gowns so that we could have "Fancy Dinner." The girls were so into it! They loved getting ready and even had fun eating and pretending they were at a fancy restaurant. It reminded me of how fun it was getting ready for dances in high school. Sometimes being a girl really is fun!

Side note: I wanted to yard sale-ing Saturday morning, so on Friday night I told Trav that he should take A and K to breakfast and I'd take Eve with me. The girls were so excited that they woke up on their own Saturday morning. We could hear them dinking around, but chose to stay in bed till they came and got us. A few minutes later, both of them appeared at our bedside brushing their teeth. They had gotten dressed, washed faces, and combed their own hair-- all by themselves! They were really looking forward to McDonald's!

BTW, I totally scored at the yard sales. I got a Bosch for $15, and 6 patio chairs for $12! also some clothes, a game, and some nice storage baskets. What a deal!

Plus, check out the first harvest from our garden:

Reasons I Don't Go To The Mall

1. Too poor.
2. Dissatisfied with current figure.
3. Three kids.
4. Unsure of what my "style" is these days.
5. Kate pees on the floor.

Really, I can deal with everything except for #5.
