Happy Birthday Kate-O

Kate is already one! She is so cute and we love her dearly. She had a great birthday party with lots of swimming and cake-- dunking her face in the cake was a new treat for her. She actually slept through most of her party because she'd had a long day before it even got started-- we had to wake her up to open presents. That will probably never happen again!
Kate's favorite gift is some girly necklaces from Grandma Nancy. Anna's favorite of Kate's gifts is a little MP3 player that plays "ba ba black sheep" and "the muffin man". (You hear it constantly while she is using the potty). My favorite is all the fun new clothes to dress her in. Sometimes I feel bad for Kate that she mostly wears Anna's old things... so I was happy to put her in cute new clothes this past week!

Our House... in the middle of our street

Here's a picture of our house. No, not the old sugarbeet factory. This is our dirt, waiting for our house to be built in 8-12 months! It really is in the middle of the street, lined straight up with the tall tower of the factory.
Anna is pretty excited about all the tractors that are building our house right now. Travis is most looking forward to the lawn, and I am excited about all the fun I'll have decorating the new space. Like we'll ever be able to afford that....
